great gift ideas for others or for yourself!

KITCHEN

  • This magnetic knife holder for the fridge (doesn't have to be bolted to the wall, so it's great for people who move a lot!) We have the 16 in. I did pinch my finger just pulling the plastic from between the magnet the first time even though reviews had warned me. Just put gloves on before you even take it out of the package! I got to excited once I opened it.
  • These spice jars were a game-changer for me! I'm no longer overwhelmed or stressed out by all of our spices. I love seeing them on my counter and in my kitchen drawer. They look amazing everywhere. Some reviewers complained about the labels not having every spice, but I liked the font so much that I still preferred this set. Then I just wrote in a few they didn't have labels for. I don't think there's any set that would have a label for every seasoning I own anyway. Others said some jars were broken, but I thought 25 was too many anyway (it kind of wasn't, though). But none of mine arrived broken. They did have some dusting of glass shards in them like they needed to be washed out, though. For the price and look, they were the best I could find at the time, and I could not be happier!
  • This expandable bamboo drawer divider was like magic with how it instantly elevated the look and organization of our kitchen drawer! I bought another kind, but liked this one better because the others didn't fit any of our drawers. We move all the time, so I don't know what size we'll have, which makes measuring tricky.
  • This gorgeous container (meant for dog treats) that we use to store bread vertically! We just turn it around so the dog print is facing the wall. It doesn't hold long loaves until we've eaten part of it, but I don't like packaging for bread, and this is a nice way to hide it. Most bread boxes take up too much counter space and end up cluttered with other stuff even if they were pretty. This one just makes me happy every time I see it!
  • Flexible Cutting Boards! These are colorful, and so thin that they don’t take up much room. They’re really lightweight, but my favorite thing about them is that they bend for you to dump veggies, or whatever you’ve been cutting, into the pot. You can cut them into smaller ones that are also handy. I love using them over wooden cutting boards so I don't get cut marks in them or have to wash those. But if you have a Dollar Tree near you, you can buy 2 white/clear ones in a pack, which is really nice! I didn't need so many, and I don't love the colors I got anyway.
  •  We love having a mini frother for milk for lattes or stirring hot chocolate! It’s so fast and simple. And these are super cute. We took it to my in-laws for Thanksgiving, and they all want one for Christmas now! Such an easy exciting gift for less than $20.
  • I saw this InstaPot cookbook at my mother-in-law’s house, and she said she loves it! She purchased a more expensive one as well but likes this one better. Not only does it have a picture of each dish, it also has pictures of the prep. It really helps us learn to use an InstaPot since we are still beginners. Plus it has a Quick Reference guide for things like pastas/grains and specific vegetables listed out in a nice table towards the front.
  • This extra long scraper would be a great stocking stuffer for someone who loves making smoothies. I get excited to use it every time I make one, even though I have lots of smaller rubber scrapers, too.

self-care

  • My husband bought these amazing bath bombs for me when I asked for bubble bath. I thought I’d be disappointed, but they were so fun!! I quickly became obsessed. These already have over 10k reviews and several videos, so I didn’t make one of my own.
  • This slim lock box is such a great way to stay off your phone for less than $25!
  • A 5-year journal is great for mental health. I love journals anyway, but these are good for people who are just starting out, don’t think they have much to say or time to write, or want to build a habit of gratitude. I love that after a year, you get to start seeing what you wrote on that day the previous year!!! This is the one my husband bought me as a wedding gift, so I’ve written in it every day of our marriage! (Ok, sometimes I wrote it the next day.) For our 5th anniversary, I got the same one in a different color. Here’s one that’s more colorful and currently about half the price. This one is flowery and closer to the size of your hand (many of them are small).
  • Add these fun, gorgeous, reliable pens to brighten up your journaling habit! Or buy them in a 5-pack. I love that there's no tacky writing/branding on them.

practical

  • Didn't realize how life-changing wearing the comfiest underwear could be until I tried these. They fit just right and never ride up. The cover and hug in all the right places. They don't rub. The only thing I'd change is to have more color options I love. These are just as comfy but a little more expensive, but they have a lace waistband for something different. I haven't tested them for as long, though.
  • Why are lighters so difficult to light sometimes? These electric lighters never leave you frustrated from trying over and over. They do take a second to light a candle, but you aren't fumbling with the lighter itself. I like that they reach into long candles. Plus they're just neat and kinda pretty! I use the loop to hang it on my key hanger so I always know where it is.
  • I bought these waterproof boots on sale to replace my old worn out hiking boots. Since it was just before my trip to Wales in the winter, I ended up taking them with me. I'm so glad I did! I could not believe how much use I got from them. They kept my feet so warm in the snow and cold, wet days. Plus they're adorable! It didn't matter how much mud got on them, they still looked nice when rinsed off.

Beauty

  • I love this toiletry bag that comes with this weekender bag! I use it for makeup and toiletries. It's so cute, I leave it sitting on my bathroom sink.
  • This gorgeous blush! I love the case so much that I leave it on the sink as decoration. It’s one of 3 products I use for a simple everyday makeup look.
  • This easy eyeliner. It was $9 at the time I purchased it. I had recently tried a Mac pencil thinking it was going to be life-changing, only to be disappointed. But this one impressed me! It goes on so smoothly and solidly without creating a super thick line, so it looks very natural at least for me (brown hair/brown eyes). I’m assuming the black is just as good, and it seems to stay under the $10 mark.
  • This quick foundation. I use it for a lot of my travel and everyday, 5-minute makeup looks. It's so fast and convenient since it's in a twist tube and isn't messy liquid. It might feel a little greasy or cakey at first, but looks and feels more natural after a few minutes.
  • This amazing concealer! It's the only thing I've found so far that actually helps reduce the look of my sunspots. Many products only make it more noticeable somehow. It doesn't completely hide it, but it softens it enough to where I'm not self-conscious that I look like I have a mustache or chocolate on my upper lip. It quickly became part of my 5-minute makeup routine as well!
  • This multi-benefit, leave-in conditioner. Pretty sure I was 26 when I finally learned how to style my hair. Thank God for YouTube (this video was perfect for me and was like magic for my hair...I couldn’t believe it!). I’ve tried similar stuff that my favorite stylist recommended, but this still works so much better. I remember thinking this plus the price of the next item seemed so silly and a waste of money on my vanity, but for how long it has lasted (5 years for me!) and how well it’s worked, it’s so worth it!
  • And this is what I use to curl my hair. I bought a smaller one I found used for super cheap to give me more options, but when it came time to declutter, the smaller one was out and this one stayed. I notice so many people use this now. It has over 22k reviews, while many others don’t even have half that. And again, I’ve been using this same one I purchased in October of 2015. I haven’t noticed any diminish in quality. My frizzy hair ends up silky and bouncy. I haven’t found anything else that does that so consistently...except maybe this style of headband for heatless curls. Just not as silky smooth and shiny.
  • These headbands! (The pack I bought is no longer available, but these seem the same.) I use them for heatless curls or just to add some style and volume to my hair. It comes in a pack of 8 and has so many good colors. They are comfortable for me, which isn't always the case with headbands!
  • This adorable hat (in camel) that not only makes you look super cute, but also covers the flyaways and crazy hair days. As a photographer, I’ve had clients tell me they aren’t hat people, but they brought one to get a few pictures in. They end up loving them! In my effort to try wearing more hats, I purchased this stylish fedora in khaki as well, and I’m loving them both! They even look nice as almost a decoration in my home.
