the details
From the cake made by a friend of the family who made the wedding cake for each of the Hall daughters to the string of pearls the bride's grandfather bought her grandmother, I love the special details that appear on a wedding day. Candace's mother embroidered handkerchiefs for the bride, mother-of-the-bride, and mother-of-the-groom! Candace's brother did the decorations. Weikang's parents decorated a cabin in the woods for the bride and groom in the Chinese tradition.

the family
I love how family members come together at weddings! Candace's brother-in-law did an amazing job coordinating the wedding when their original coordinator got covid. Her aunt was the officiant. Weikang's family came from China and all across the United States. Candace has 8 siblings, so she joked that the family photos were the hardest part of the wedding. In fact, we took several family photos before realizing that someone had been in the bathroom for all of them! Some of my favorite photos are always of the youngest and oldest members of the family, so I try to make sure to include them!

the wedding party
This was such a unique and fun experience for me as Candace is one of my very best friends! We always visit and keep in touch even though we live in different states and sometimes even different countries! I set up my tripod for my mom to snap the photos with me in them. I loved being included in the wedding party even though I was the photographer!
