how it works

You can attend as many or as few classes as you'd like. You bring your own supplies (after you register, Megan will provide a basic list...some you might already have!) so you can continue making art even when the class is over. The class will practice specific skills together, but you will be able to choose the subject and medium that you use each time. These classes are meant to be a fun way to add some beauty and creativity to your summer while meeting other people at Fort Irwin!

FAQ

Do I have to pre-register?

No, but it is encouraged as classes may get canceled if no one registers in advance. Walk-ins are welcome as long as the class isn't full (text Megan at 706.401.5709 or check @theclutterlady on IG to see if a class is fully booked before coming). Pre-registering helps gauge interest, plan the location setup, purchase supplies, and update students to any last-minute changes. However, payment must be made before class begins.

My 8yo is really into art. Can they attend?

For the Level One class, parents can decide on the maturity level of their child 8 or 9 year old and their interest in art. Ages 6-7 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I attend both classes on the same day?

Students age 12 and older can attend both classes. This will allow them more practice time around other artists and give them a little deeper knowledge on the topic. Students must pay for both classes to attend both.

what supplies do I need?

You can choose any of the 3 following mediums: drawing, watercolor, acrylics. Megan will send you a list of the minimum supplies required, but you can choose which brands you use. That way you can use supplies you already have. (If you'd like to see the list to decide if you'd like to attend or not, email Megan at mcstarbuck@gmail.com)

what will be provided by the instructor?

Megan will provide cups for cleaning brushes, reference photos, as well as books on how to draw and paint. You are welcome to bring these items as well. She will also demonstrate some of her favorite art supplies for you to see if you like them enough to add to your collection.

Is there a discount?

For every 3 classes you attend, your 4th will be $10.
