We don’t believe your love story ends once you get married.
We are writing this series of our love story to show the little ways love continues and changes and grows for years to come. We don’t want it to look like it just disappears after the honeymoon, which is what so many books and movies and even real-life examples make it seem like.
We spent a lot of our engagement wondering if we would suddenly hate each other and fight all the time after we got married. In our minds, that's the way marriage was often portrayed. After more than 4 years of marriage, we can assure you that at least some marriages are not that way! Sure, there are more opportunities to argue the longer you’ve known someone. But there are also more chances to express your love in a variety of ways.
The reason we'll be posting these snippets of our love story on Tuesdays is because of the Jake Scott song by the same title. (If you haven't heard it, have a listen below.) We love the sentiment it carries of love not just being big moments but also the everyday moments, things that might happen on an ordinary day...like, say, a Tuesday.
While our entire love story (and the content of these posts) didn't occur only on Tuesdays, that's the idea behind it.
We can't wait to share this part of our lives with you!
